Lamma Island

Lamma Island belongs to Hong Kong and is about an hour away by ferry.
The island is rather small and has pretty much only a small village, a temple, a small shopping area mainly with gift shops and a few restaurants. The seafood restaurant directly sitting in the harbor offers excellent lobster meals and a nice romantic scenery. There is also a small beach at the back of the island.

Hong Kong

Welcome to my Hong Kong gallery. These images were taken between 2003 and 2005, when I started travelling to Asia more frequently.

Hong Kong consists of a group of islands in the Eastern Perl River Delta, actually based at the tip of an old volcano, which erupted in the Mesozoic era. The city was established as a colony of the British Empire after the Qing Empire ceded Hong Kong Island from Xin'an County at the end of the Opium Wars. The main areas are Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and the New Territories. There are many small islands, some settled, many not.
